So you are a baseball fanatic that wants to fit the whole sport into your wrist – well, you can with Watch This Homerun. Watch This Homerun doesn’t try to be pretentious by bringing you all sorts of gags into the game. It’s a simple, straightforward game that lets you in on the most exciting part of baseball – hitting the ball!

With this Apple Watch game, all you need to do is to tap the watch to hit the ball that will be thrown at you. Once you hit the ball, a bird’s eye view of the field will be shown as to where the ball flew off. It’s quick, simple, satisfying, but most of all, fun!

Best Gaming Headset for 2015: Astro A50

Having gone through a lot of gaming headsets through the course of my lifetime as a gamer, it’s kind of difficult to narrow down just one product which I can hail as the best gaming headset for 2015. But after careful consideration and numerous hours of game time using different gaming headsets, I have made a decision.

The gaming headset I have chosen is not your usual suspect. Surprisingly (and true enough, I myself am surprised with my decision), the Astro A50 is the best gaming headset for 2015 for me. But why is Astro A50 the best?

astro a50 wireless gaming headset

The Astro A50 is a plenty comfortable Wireless gaming headset. For someone like me who plays for several hours, this gaming headset did not weigh me down at all. The ear cups had very soft cushion padding and the headband was very comfortable to wear as well. As for its durability, let my clumsiness tell the story. I woke up one morning, eager to start playing, and went straight for my chair. Sitting down, I totally forgot that I left the A50 there. Scrambling to get it, I quickly tested it out and I was shocked to know that it was still in perfect condition.

This Astro gaming headset makes use of a 5.8 GHz wireless technology which boasts of operating at a higher frequency than its competitors, this is then combined with Astro’s wireless mixAmps. Now all these big words are actually good for something – clarity and range for the A50. At times when I paused the game just to answer the door or grab a glass of water from the kitchen, I was surprised that the A50 was still receiving sound, and let me tell you, the distance from my “man cave” to the front door or kitchen takes a bit of a walk. The sound was not choppy at all and I didn’t get any interference whatsoever.

But getting great reception from a gaming headset from a distance isn’t really the true test of how I came up with the best gaming headset for this year. The main criteria for judging any good gaming headset is its audio quality, and the Astro A50 definitely backs up its bark with its bite.

Astro claims that they have been working with pro-gamers and top audio designers to make the A50 deliver the best sounds, and after using it for a while myself, I got to say: I believe it. Now, I know that they didn’t work with me (pro-gamer, wink wink), but the A50 wireless gaming headset truly delivers great quality audio. With the A50, you get great detail from whatever it is your are listening to and rich audio that really feels full – you know that you are getting everything there is to hear.

But if you think that is the end of it, wait till you get your ears to hear the Dolby Digital 7.1. Once I got it hooked up, it was like I was in the game myself. I got to hear sounds that I think the character I’m playing would hear.

I have been using the Astro A50 gaming headset on a couple of games recently, one is on Dragon Age: Inquisition on the PC and the other is Mortal Kombat X on the Playstation 4.

On Dragon Age: Inquisition, every swing of the blades and every spell cast could be heard, and not just heard, but felt. Casting spells like Mind Blast makes you really hear the thump, while Chain Lightning really seemed to be shocking. The depth and detail to the sound is phenomenal! The first time I encounter the Northern Hunter and had the Dolby Digital 7.1 on was truly epic. A great battle coupled with amazing audio just gave me goosebumps.

As for Mortal Kombat X, you could hear every glorious blood splatter in great detail as well as be amazed with the rich sounds, for example, Subzero’s ice never sounded so good – you can hear every crackle and shatter. Ambient noises as well as interacting with the environment rewards you with great sounds. Fatalities and X-Ray moves seemed to be more painful, and of course, “Finish Him!” never sounded so epic!

Comfort, durability, great audio and surround sound makes the Astro A50 claim the title of the best gaming headset of 2015 – a well-deserved victory for such a well crafter gaming gear.

With hands firmly clutched onto a controller or grasping a mouse, gaming headset securely attached to the head, the cross-hairs is an integral part of a gamer’s system as no library of games will be complete without an FPS game. And with 2015 still barely getting started, here are five of the best FPS games in 2015.

Halo 5: Guardians

HALO 5 guardians

Soon to be released on the Xbox One in Fall 2015, Halo 5: Guardians has its roots firmly set into millions of gamers’ hearts across the world ever since the franchise first started. Halo 5 follows the footsteps of Master Chief once again as he goes AWOL, and we find him still trying to adjust to the events which have transpired in Halo 4. In addition, a character from the TV series Halo Nightfall – Agent Locke – is ingeniously included in the game and will be a hunter of our antagonist. Stunning graphics, involving storyline, and great gameplay are just a few reasons why we love the Halo series, and Halo 5 is sure to be one for the books.

Dead Island 2

There is no denying that zombie fever has struck everyone across the world as the ever popular Dead Island game once again takes us to their dark world. Though Dead Island was known for a lot of glitches and bugs, it was still well-received by the gaming community as it brought forth various characters with different abilities. Now for the official sequel of the game, Dead Island 2 will bring you back to the chaotic world of zombies with a whole new set of characters with their own respective abilities, and new crazy weapon concoctions. No longer will you be in the tropic island of Banoi, but will be in the mainstream city of California.

Moving on from zombies to aliens, Evolve promises to be a gamer’s favorite as it brings together great elements of FPS games. Created by the same team behind Left 4 Dead, the game puts you in the shoes of one of the four hunters with an ability each of their own. And if hunters aren’t your thing, you can be the hunted, the alien which evolves into an even deadlier creature as time passes by, eventually turning the tables around and making you the hunter.

Star Wars Battlefront

Let’s face it, who doesn’t love Star Wars? And Star Wars Battlefront will bring that love affair to a whole new level as it puts you back into its universe. As a title which guarantees that it will be part of your library of games when it does come out late this 2015, there is still speculation as to the game being first-person or third-person. But with stunning graphics and, of course, gameplay that will surely be great, Star Wars Battlefront is sure to be a favorite.

Blizzard is always coming out with great, fun-to-play games and Overwatch is sure to be one of them. With a dozen of characters to choose from (for now), two teams will have to fight 6 on 6. Not just your usual FPS game, each character will have their own gun or weapon, skill, and even way of playing them as each of them will have very important roles, such as medic, tank, and sniper, just to name a few. Overwatch has great graphics, familiar yet unique gameplay, colorful and vivid world, and above all else, it looks really, really fun to play.

How to choose your video game console

While gaming consoles are all-in-one entertainment machines, the most crucial part of them is their ability to play games. Despite the fact that countless game players will say that computers have the best graphics, new video gaming technology is birthed on games consoles. Also, a few of gaming’s biggest franchises are only obtainable on consoles. Finally, consoles are usually future-ready devices, as companies know that you’ll be using them for at least six years. This implies that over the next few years, new peripheral devices and technologies will supplement the consoles.

Nintendo makes a move towards mobile users

In a very surprising move, Nintendo plans to put gaming applications on smartphones in a tie-up together with Japanese cellular games company DeNA.

The alliance, that concerns the the organizations having stakes in each other, is going to target creating applications for smart devices and establishing a worldwide membership product to launch this fall, the companies explained Tuesday in a unexpectedly prepared press conference in Tokyo, japan.
